out

in

give

what
shall
be
just.

went
their
way.
And
again
he
went
out
about
the
sixth
and
the
ninth
hour,
and
did
in
like
manner.

circa
sextam

nonam
horam:

fecit
similiter.

about

eleventh
hour
he
went
out
and
found
others
standing,
and
he
saith
to
them:
Why
stand
you
here
all
the

idle?

invenit

stantes,

dicit

die

They
say
to
him:
Because
no
man
hath
hired
us.
He
saith
to
them:
Go
ye

nos

Ite

And
when
evening
was
come,
the
lord
of
the
vineyard
saith
to
his
steward:
Call
the
labourers
and
pay
them
their
hire,
beginning
from
the
last
even
to
the
first.

Cum
sero
autem
factum
esset,
dicit
dominus
vineæ
procuratori
suo:
Voca
operarios,
et
redde
illis
mercedem
incipiens
a
novissimis
usque
ad
primos.

When
therefore
they
were
come
that
came
about
the
eleventh
hour,
they
received
every
man
a
penny.

Cum
venissent
ergo
qui

But

also
came,

thought
that
they
should
receive
more:

receiving
it
they
murmured
against
the
master
of
the
house,

last
have
worked

one
hour.

thou
hast
made
them
equal
to
us,
that
have
borne
the
burden
of
the
day
and
the
heats.

answering

of

friend,

thee

Amice,

injuriam:

convenisti
mecum?

Take
what
is
thine,
and
go
thy
way:
I
will
also
give
to
this
last

as

thee.

Tolle

tuum
est,

it

lawful

to

eye
evil,

shall

Jesus
going
up
to
Jerusalem,
took
the
twelve
disciples
apart

Behold

go

to

man

be
betrayed

priests

condemn
him

deliver

to

be
mocked

scourged

Then
came
to
him
the
mother
of
the
sons
of
Zebedee

her
sons,
adoring

asking
something

him.

He
saith

them:
My
chalice
indeed
you
shall
drink;
but
to
sit
on
my
right
or
left
hand
is
not
mine
to
give
to
you,
but
to
them
for
whom
it
is
prepared
by
my
Father.

Ait
illis:
Calicem
quidem
meum
bibetis:
sedere
autem
ad
dexteram
meam
vel
sinistram
non
est
meum
dare
vobis,
sed
quibus
paratum
est
a
Patre
meo.

And
the
ten,
hearing
it,
were
moved
with
indignation
against
the
two
brethren.

audientes
decem,
indignati
sunt

duobus
fratribus.

But
Jesus
called
them
to
him
and
said:
You
know
that
the
princes
of
the
Gentiles
lord
it
over
them;
and
that
they
that
are
the
greater,
exercise
power
upon
them.

Jesus

vocavit
eos

Scitis

principes
gentium
dominantur
eorum:

qui
majores
sunt,
potestatem
exercent

eos.

It
shall
not
be
so
among
you:
but
whosoever
is
the

among
you,

minister.

fieri,

And
he
that

be

you

your
servant.

Even
as
the
Son
of
man
is
not
come
to
be
ministered
unto,
but

minister
and

give
his
life
a
redemption
for
many.

went
out
from
Jericho,
a
great
multitude
followed
him.

men
sitting
by

way
side
heard

Jesus
passed
by.
And
they
cried
out,
saying:
O
Lord,
thou
son

David,

mercy
on
us.

ecce

audierunt
quia
Jesus
transiret:
et
clamaverunt,
dicentes:
Domine,
miserere
nostri,

David.

the
multitude
rebuked
them
that
they
should
hold
their
peace.
But
they
cried
out
the
more,
saying:
O
Lord,
thou
son
of
David,
have
mercy
on
us.

autem
increpabat
eos
ut
tacerent.
At
illi
magis
clamabant,
dicentes:
Domine,
miserere
nostri,
fili
David.

And
Jesus
stood
and
called
them
and
said:
What
will
ye
that
I
do
to
you?

Et
stetit
Jesus,
et
vocavit
eos,
et
ait:
Quid
vultis
ut
faciam
vobis?

They
say
to
him:
Lord,
that
our
eyes
be
opened.

Dicunt
illi:
Domine,
ut
aperiantur
oculi
nostri.

And
Jesus
having
compassion
on
them,
touched
their
eyes.
And
immediately
they
saw
and
followed
him.

Misertus
autem
eorum
Jesus,
tetigit
oculos
eorum.
Et
confestim
viderunt,
et
secuti
sunt
eum.
